ABI: War on Drunk Driving Has Changed, But Strategies to Address it Have Not

    Who would have thought that the *&$_+$# politicians want to punish the majority of law abiding citizens that are responsible enough to follow the law? Their lack of common sense continues to amaze me.

    The only way to slow down the amount of drunk drivers on the road is to upon first offense, throw the driver in jail for 3 months and take away their license for 1 year. Why do you think there are so few drunk drivers in places like Germany – it’s because of the harsh penalties.

    If the politicians and lawyers would pass a law causing the politicians to lose their elected position, the lawyers to lose their license and law enforcement officers to lose their jobs when the are stopped while driving drunk, things would change. Notice I said stopped not convicted, because lawyers, police officers and politicians are never convicted….
