ACE USA, the U.S.-based retail operating division of The ACE Group of Companies, announced the launch of its Energy Casualty Practice, led by Keith Mattheessen.

The new group will reportedly enhance ACE’s U.S. energy operations by working collaboratively with ACE’s Global Energy division to provide the full spectrum of ACE USA’s property and casualty capabilities to the energy industry. The unit will target Fortune 2000 companies engaged in production, exploration, processing and refining, and transportation and distribution in the energy industry. The ACE USA Energy Casualty Practice will coordinate delivery of ACE’s U.S and international products and services.

Mattheessen will work closely with Kudret Oztap, Head of Global Energy Operations for North America, to provide customized risk management solutions to the energy segment. These existing product offerings include both traditional and non-traditional risk management solutions.

The new practice also will work collaboratively with leaders in the energy and brokerage communities to further enhance ACE USA’s energy-related product and service offerings.
