Integrity Interactive Offers New Product Liability Program

July 7, 2004

Integrity Interactive, a provider of online corporate ethics and compliance services, has developed a new Product Liability compliance program with the support of Integrity Interactive Advisory Panel member Ken Ross.

Integrity’s Product Liability program is designed for manufacturing companies that need to inform employees of the dangers associated with ignoring laws, regulations, standards and best practices put in place to ensure the safety and quality of their products.

Integrity Interactive delivers Web-based ethics and compliance services on more than 215 corporate ethics and compliance topics, to various companies. Integrity’s Product Liability program introduces employees to the fictional company GlobeCo, where two corner-cutting employees overlook important safety issues when designing and manufacturing a new product. The program is designed to educate employees on the seriousness of not following safety laws and preventive practices and their company’s rules and policies. Ross has practiced in the areas of preventive law, general corporate counseling, corporate and regulatory compliance, business ethics, ADR and litigation for almost 30 years.

“There are serious consequences for any company that produces an unsafe product, and a product liability lawsuit can be financially devastating. It is paramount that employees understand how safety laws and good practices apply to their role in the design, manufacturing and marketing process,” Ross said. “Integrity Interactive’s Product Liability program delivers accurate, effective training to employees so that manufacturing companies can identify and mitigate risks, protect their customers and product users, and create a defensible product and company.”
