The last paragraph listed the positive attribute of GE Med Pro. They did not list the poor or non-existant service that the carrier has provided. There are more hassles and problems with this carrier than can be listed in this posting. Never can you write business with them without at least one mistake being made. I heard of a producer submitting 3 doctor apps and 1 corp app (all in the same group). GE Med Pro assigned it to 4 different underwriting branches from Chicago to California. They now use employees in India to process paperwork/endorsements. If service is entered in to AM Best’s equation, this carrier is D rated!

GE Medical Protective Company’s service is so poor that I cannot help but think that GE is blind to the inadequacies of this Company’s management. GE is aligning itself with a sure loser! Ask any “distribution partner” or insured about GE Medical Protective’s service and you are sure to get an earful. All wish GE would just get out of the insurance business.
