How does ISO gather their data? If it is drawn from public records, then I don’t have a problem. However, if it is gathered by means of requiring information to be furnished or Ins cov will not be extended, then you have coersion and not only it is an invasion of privacy, but it is a tatic used by insurers to justify raising rates. Insurance are one of the biggest violators of individual rights, and they try to justify it by saying it saves customers money in their rates. Bottom line…it’s a profit driven scheme.

Most, if not all the information listed is obtained from the client when they purchase an auto policy from an agent. This just verifies that the applicant is the owner of the veh. and that the lienholder.lease co. info is correct. It’s all public information so what’s the big deal? Ins. Co’s can get this info. now, ISO is just making it easier, i.e. saving money.
