Granted, Toyota makes a great car. But Toyota’s statement rebutting the Camry’s ranking on the NICB’s most stolen list is nothing but a sales pitch; if Toyota is saying that the Camry is the most stolen vehicle simply because of it’s sales volume, due to the fact that it’s been the number one selling passenger vehicle in America for the past several years, then why isn’t the Ford F150 pickup on the NICB’s list? Ford trucks outsell the Camry. Or before the Camry was the number selling passenger car, the Ford Taurus was – so why wasn’t the Taurus on the NICB’s list? Toyota is not admitting that the costs of their replacement parts are the primary reason the Camry is also number one in theft.
