Arrowhead Claims, Pacific Claims Form American Claims Management

February 5, 2004

Kevin McDonald, president and CEO of San Diego-based Arrowhead Claims Management, announced the acquisition of Pacific Claims Service and the retention of its partners, Dan Price and Dave Gwin, both of San Diego.

Arrowhead Claims Management is a third party administrator specializing in the nationwide management of personal and commercial insurance claims, including personal automobile, commercial automobile, trucking, motorcycle, homeowners, building owners, public entity, artisan, workers compensation, construction, and catastrophe claims.

Pacific Claims Service is an independent adjuster, providing claim investigation and appraisal services since 1969. The acquisition of PCS brings the ACM staff to nearly 150 employees located in San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Newport Beach, and Colorado Springs.

Celebrating its 35th year of service to the insurance industry, PCS will enhance service to its existing customers through the use of ACM’s advanced technology and systems and its expansion into the national marketplace.

McDonald noted “ACM is excited to acquire PCS and its chief executive, Dan Price, a renowned national leader in the claims industry. ACM will now be able to offer its represented carriers independent adjusting and appraisal services as well as its traditional functions of claims and litigation management.”

Pat Kilkenny, chairman of Arrowhead General Insurance Agency, a major client of ACM, observed “We are pleased to see ACM expand its menu of high quality services through the acquisition of this venerable independent adjusting firm.”

Price, president of Pacific Claims Service, is the president of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters, and was recently named Claims Professional of the Year. “It is a privilege for the staff of PCS to join this highly respected and rapidly growing organization,” Price commented.

The combined companies will operate under a new corporate name, American Claims Management. McDonald is the CEO of American Claims and Price is the president of its Pacific Claims Division, reporting to American Claims’ Executive Vice President, Amel Esposito.
