DKI Members Team Up to Combat Large Loss

October 23, 2003

Disaster Kleenup International, Inc., a network of quality, independent property damage restoration contractors, announced that three of its member companies teamed up to help restore parts of Indianapolis and its surrounding areas after the flooding that occurred during the first week of September.

After nearly a week of rainfall, Moore Restoration, based in Indianapolis, was reportedly deluged with more claims calls than they could handle, both from DKI and independently. Members from Illinois and North Carolina stepped in to lend a hand.

Rich Brown, president of Alpine Cleaning and Restoration in Boone, N.C., brought a crew of four people, two truck mounted extraction units and a 20-foot trailer of extra equipment to Indiana to aid in the recovery efforts. Their team was involved in 35 claims over the span of a week.

Warner Cruz, president of J.C. Restoration in Bensenville, Ill., also responded to the call. He brought a crew of 10 people to Indianapolis for four days, supplying 125 pieces of equipment. His team worked on seven large houses and one commercial loss.

Kenny Cochran, president of Moore Restoration, was grateful for the help. “Our office was flooded with more calls than we could handle. Having Rich and Warner volunteer to help us out made it easier for us to provide efficient, quality service to our customers. I appreciate the fact that DKI members are so willing to team up to tackle large losses such as these.”

Dale Sailer, president of DKI, agreed, noting “That our members are willing to travel such distances to provide extra hands and equipment is a testament to the commitment of our organization. Our members are truly dedicated to underscoring DKI’s position as The Source For Quality Restoration.”
