How interesting that our very importance is used to justify not compensating us for our time…which is taken directly from our families and can never be replaced. Particularly since the overtime required to accomplish these very important duties properly is substantial. Continuing to exempt claims adjusters from overtime pay will only encourage the insurance companies to continue to cut corners and load more work on the adjusters they have, rather than add more adjusters to reduce the individual workload. I am shocked that this is considered acceptable.
