Doris Adopts Interface Technologies Of Applied Systems

January 30, 2003

Alpharetta, Ga.-based independent agency management system provider, DORIS Insurance Systems LLC, announced it is adopting the interface technology and services of Applied Systems for managing agency-company interface services.

“Applied Systems has always been a leader in agency-company interface and we are excited to be working with them,” said Mike Mansperger, vice president and CIO of DORIS. “Our plans call for our adoption of the Applied Systems Download certification processes, allowing companies a one-step process for their download certification. Additionally, we will be integrating some of Applied Systems’ interface technology into DORIS’ products.”

The two companies will share common agency-company interface technology, developed by Applied Systems, using IVANS Transformation Station(TM).This will add another 3,000 independent agencies to those 7,500 Applied users already enabled for real-time interface via Transformation Station, Mansperger noted.

The agreement includes embedding Applied Systems’ WARP(TM) technology into all DORIS products for use with Transformation Station, covering policy rating, billing inquiry, first notice of loss, certificates of insurance, as well as other transactions. DORIS also will leverage Applied’s download certification services so that any insurance company certified by Applied will be automatically certified for DORIS. The two companies will work together to incorporate Applied Systems new, second generation upload technology, based on ACORD SPX, due out later this year.
