Travelers Announces Application for Risk Managers to Receive, Access Claim Reporting Materials Electronically

December 11, 2002

Travelers Property Casualty has announced its Web-based application that allows risk managers to receive and access claim reporting materials electronically. Large customers can now have a single, customized site that contains their particular reporting information, pertinent state and network provider information, and welcomes them with a personalized homepage.

Brian MacLean, executive vice president, Travelers Claim, said, “Travelers pioneered 1 – 800 reporting in the early 1990’s, provided one of the first internet reporting sites in 2001, and now offers a comprehensive customer reporting site which houses both information on claim reporting and key information to help get the claim started on the right track, including a site to locate network providers in the claimant’s area.”

Each customized site:

*Provides detailed claim reporting information for the specific lines of business the customer writes with Travelers, such as workers’ compensation, liability, auto and property;

*Furnishes a direct link to the Travelers on-line network medical provider directory;

*Permits electronic sharing with all of the customer’s reporting locations;

*Can be linked to existing customer Web sites, enabling one-stop-shopping for their supervisors;

*Offers quick and easy modification; and

*Provides access to Travelers’ industry-first Web site designed specifically for the injured worker – www.mywcinfo.com – all
from the customer’s personalized homepage.

MacLean added, “In addition to customizing reporting information for our customers, it speeds up the flow of reporting information to the risk manager, then on to their reporting locations, from days to minutes – and enhances the functionality of the reporting information. This leaves more time for Risk Managers to manage risks, not paper.”
