Nebraska Looks for New Ways to Warn Drivers of Deer

    I live in Arizona, we may not have as many deer as some of these other states but our state started putting monitors on the deer and elk and when they get within a certain distance from the digital signs along the highways it will prompt you – Elk to left or Deer approaching on right. You can look and see the deer or elk as you pass by or if they are coming onto the roadway area you can slow or blow your horn etc. It keeps your attention because the driver is part of the safety plan. Like an interactive video game. They utilize this north/east of Payson and along the rim in Northern Arizona.
