Good article. My state of Alabama has struggled for years with high rates of uninsured drivers. In my law practice, I’ve seen countless examples of severe injuries left without adequate compensation because of uninsured or underinsured drivers. It is very difficult to tell someone with a life-changing injury that the person who caused the wreck has no insurance to cover his or her lost income, medical bills and other damages. I’ve written several articles advocating for increased coverage requirements, penalties for non-compliance and instant verification of coverage. This is an important safety issue for all drivers.
