Indiana laws are as barbaric as many of the doctors they are attracting and protecting (not all). The medical review panel is no more than a means to punish those who would complain and deny 82% of those harmed a chance in court. The laws clearly create class based justice where upper class patients are the only ones enabled to seek justice and can be heard. The current system is abusive and most attorneys agree is strongly biased. All victims deserve our support and to be heard, caps prevent this in addition to being arbitrary.

Mistakes happen and will happen. Its how we handle it and take care of those harmed that matter. Our statesmen should be ashamed.

Last checked, the cost of health care in Indiana is no different than in other states, yet we have the harshest laws in the country against potential victims. Economics sets the price of health care more than the number lawsuits.
