I will say, have you seen the new walmart bags? You put more than 2 items in it and it splits almost every time. They are so thin, I can certainly see something like this happening.
Department stores don’t do a very good job trying to also be grocery stores. I can’t believe that’s all they are suing for. His wife has to be worth more than that no matter how old she was.
I don’t go to WalMart as they consistently make register errors to their favor.
Something besides that bag and the cut produced by the can killed that woman. While plastic bags are often quite flimsy, most of them hold up just fine most of the time. Unfortunate that the woman died, but I absolutely do not believe that the failure of the Wal-Mart bag is what killed her.
It was more like negligence on the part of the husband not to get his wife medical attention for this cut and allowing it to become infected that caused her death. Yes maybe the bag did break and they do all the time, but that is not what caused her to die.
