At 88 she was in a nursing home for some reason. While I don’t condone the home lying, it makes no difference. The woman died from being attacked. If they told the family the truth from the beginning what difference would it have made? These homes can’t provide 24×7 for every resident. The survivors shouldn’t be allowed to profit from something like this. What’s the value of the claim?

The nurses aides at the nursing home probably were guessing what happened when they told the family she stroked and fell. its not like they are the coroners responsible for cause of death determinations. At 87 this woman had no economic contribution value left to her family just emotional value. Although it is sad to lose her, they should not profit.
