I know this program is well intentioned and will have some benefits, but there are some draw backs. I’m 22 and have gone to 2 tailgates this year, and 3 of my friends have received drinking tickets when they weren’t being belligerent at all. My friends were walking to the bathroom and got surrounded by excise. I understand if someone is being outrageous, but they were just walking to the bathroom. I honestly have started telling people not to go to tailgate and boycott these events, because every time I go all I see are my friends unswervingly get in trouble. This means less revenue for for schools from parking, less fun tailgates, and college kids will just drink somewhere else. I don’t see the benefit being worth the cost, but I am a little biased being 22 years old.
