I’ve played paintball numerous times. Most people that play realize hard balls of paint being shot of CO2 guns at 300 fps are dangerous. Number one rule is to never take your mask off on the field! They also make you sign waivers and such. Now yes, if the kid shot him on purpose that would be different.
Unfortunate accident, but they do happen. I hope the friendship survives, but with an attorney already involved, I doubt it. Easy enough to put a price on the medical loss, but the emotional loss could be far greater.
