The entire abuse phenomenon only shows the deficiency of the legal system. Did you notice that all of the allged “victims” only started coming forward when there was a chance to make some quick, tax free money? There’s a statute of limitations for everything else except abuse. That’s ridiculous. You don’t suddenly come forward 40 years after the fact and be allowed to assert a claim. If they were so traumatized why did they live productive lives UNTIL the money motive appeared? These so-called “victims” had ample time to speak up. Had they done so, many of the subsequent “alleged” abused might have been prevented. Personal injury attorneys are having a field day with these claims. It’s easy money. Nothing to prove. Nobody can measure alleged “damages” so why award them? Should these people profit from something like this? In the meantime, the courts are bankrupting churches with absurd monetary rewards thereby punishing all the non-involved parties. Isn’t it strange how the only religion targeted by these opportunists are Catholic?
