Federal Appeals Panel Upholds Crash Victim’s Award

    Let’s see now. This jackass was speeding along an unlighted county road he was probably familiar with at night in December. (it usually snows in Michigan in December). He loses control of his vehicle, crashes into the woods and rolls over. He wasn’t wearing a seatbelt, a fact that points to his careless behavior. These Michigan legal geniuses assign 60% liability to the county for not have a better sign warning of the turn. Last time I checked, it was the drivers responsibility to travel the speed limit and maintain a safe speed. This sounds more like 90% liability/negligence on the driver.
