There might be more to this story, but any chance the parents can be sued for not providing transportation to their child? How did they expect her to get home from the game?
I didn’t know schools were required to provide transportation to and from extra curricular activities. I thought that was a parent’s resposibility. I participated in several after-school activities throughout four years of high school and the school never gave me a ride home. Liability lies with the driver who caused the accident. I’m truly sorry for the parents’ horrific loss, but this is clearly a case of seeking the deep pocket.

Didn’t get parent’s permission for someone else to drive AND didn’t provide transportation. Yeah, right.
Any bets on how far the court will stetch the meaning of “proximate” on this one?

If the parents were so damned concerned why didn’t they get the girl her own car or pick her us themselves?
