    If the loving parents were so concerned about their kid they shouldn’t have allowed him to go into the public un-escorted. If he went nuts the clerk had a right to shoot him to protect himself.

    Hey Jester, he was shot in the back several times after leaving the store. The shooter fled the country to avoid voluntary manslaughter charges.

    And all you have to say is “the clerk had a right to shoot him” and it’s the parents fault. You are an amazing person, someone I hope to never meet.

    As usual the journal leaves out valuable details. However, $3 million is a lot of money. Only being given half a fact, I find it hard to believe that the parents of a 21 year old with a mental disorder are being compensated so heavily. Of course, he may have been a productive member of society capable of those earnings in his lifetime.
