There has been discussion over the past several months indicating that Sugarland ordered or requested that the show go on as planned dispite the weather conditions and potential for serious weather.

What I do not understand is how a state fair, or any function who hires a band, can be at the mercy of the hired band. If hire someone I am in control and as the organizer of the event, I should have the control. NOT THE BAND.

Besides we are talking about a state fair, with hundreds of law enforcement personnel on duty at the time of the event. Are you telling me that with all the law enforcement, fair officals and other authority figures that no one at the fair or within thoise organizations had enough control or power to say when it is safe to play or not?

Something does not sound right here.
