March 20, 2012

A Michigan government board has approved $200,000 for cleanup from a tornado that hit Washtenaw County last week.

AnnArbor.com reports the Dexter Township board approved the use of the funds toward cleanup efforts on public right of ways following Thursday’s storm.

Township Supervisor Pat Kelly says the money is for “the big stuff, the unsafe stuff” left behind by the storm.

No serious injuries were reported following the tornado, which hit Dexter, located west of Ann Arbor, as well as other parts of Washtenaw County including Dexter Township.
