Bed Bugs Infest Low-Income North Dakota Apartment Building

Bed Bugs have infested a low-income North Dakota apartment building that is home to the elderly and the disabled, and residents aren’t happy.

Henry Towers resident Brian Neal tells the Minot Daily News that he can’t have visitors, and he’s started sleeping in the bathtub with a towel sealing the bathroom door. He calls it “torment.”

Building owner and manager Tony Kulig declined comment about the insects. Minot Housing Authority Director Tom Pearson says bed bugs are a common pest that can be addressed.

Eighty-nine-year-old resident Dorothy Wagar says she invested $50 in bug sprays but can’t afford to replace furniture to ensure eradication of the bugs.
