Is it possible that this woman had a headset previously but a change in phone systems led to it no longer being compatible? Most companies have upgraded their phone equipment since the 1980’s. Or perhaps her job responsibilites have changed to one that she is on the phone more. I worked for a company for 11 years and for 2 of those years, I performed a job in which a headset was essential. Referring to her as an idiot seems harsh.
