The Minnesota Department of Public Safety Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management (HSEM) has opened three disaster recovery centers (DRC) for residents affected by recent flooding in southern Minnesota.
The DRCs, located in Owatonna, Truman and Mazeppa allow area residents and businesses impacted by flooding to get answers about their disaster-related losses. Representative from several state agencies will provide resources to assist people in their recovery.
Residents can get information about housing, unemployment, farm advocacy and other issues they face as part of the recovery process.
Agencies include Minnesota Housing Finance Agency, Minnesota departments of Agriculture, Employment and Economic Development, Public Safety, the American Red Cross and the University of Minnesota Extension Service. Steele County Human services, Public Health and Emergency Management will be at the Owatonna DRC.
