In my experience, this is the only thing school boards and school administrators listen to and its time for the other side to push back; teachers included.

that’s sad but sometimes very true. the use of common sense doesn’t cost very much and could have saved those taxpayers a small fortune.

I’ve seen kids teased at schools while teachers/staff do nothing. If someone is sexually harrassed at work, they sue the company, not the spouse (or parents if it’s a minor) or next of kin. This shouldn’t be a “money judgement”…(maybe mandate changes, etc, but only way to get people to change their attitude is hitting them in the pocket book. These are our children, they should be able to go to school to learn…free of being tormented, beatup, harrassed, to the nth degree. The parents should be held accountable as well, even if it’s a a judgement to meet with students to see how it affects them. Parents can’t control everything a child does and they shouldn’t be sent to bankruptcy if they did what they could…but not listened to. i guess..no easy answer. whatever happened to the golden rule.

I didn’t mean that the school system shouldn’t be sued, too. BUT, the parents of the the kids doing the bullying should be held responsible along with the school. Surely, if this has been going on for a few years, the bully’s parents were contacted a few times. Make them suffer a little.

Why does it have to be so wierd these days?? For a child to be subjected to physical and sexual abuse at the hands of his schoolmates is outrageous.

AMEN, Sydney. Did this stuff happen I was in school, back in the 70’s. I know that was the stone age, but how can things get so bad????

Mom, it happened in the 50’s & 60’s too. You either put up with it or fought back. Leveled the playing field when you showed up with some of your own friends to confront the bully.

I guess now instead of showing up w/your buddy’s, you have to show up with your attorney.

Derelict parents that don’t have to work
and don’t want to be bothered with their kids. Funny they have free birth control,
but for some reason don’t use it! Would save us all alot of time and money if they did. In my day, we felt some responsibility, had character, and disciplined!
