A Spanish Consumer Guide to Auto Insurance? I always wonder how people who can’t speak English actually pass a written driving exam, or how they can find their way around in a country that, at least up to now, doesn’t have traffic signs or directions in Spanish. I wonder if I could go to China or Russia and get a driver’s license without speaking Chinese or Russian? Just curious…

ALL immigrants should be required to speak, read, and write in English as a condition of citizenship, a green card, or to purchase an automobile and insurance. If they can’t, they are a danger to themselves and others. This continual catering to hispanics is making me sick. I don’t see ANY other nationality being coddled like this. This type of exceptional treatment creates no incentive for these people to change and learn the language of THIS country. As a matter of fact, it’s a dis-incentive. These Spanish resources cost everyone money and only increase the cost of insurance. You have to have Spanish speaking people to take their calls or fill out their forms. There would be sufficient funds in America if the idiots who are elected to run it would focus on what’s best for AMERICANS.

that the US citizenship test is administered in english and applicants must be able to read and understand english to become a US citizen. If I were of non-hispanic origin, I would sue the state for not having the form in all languages. There is clearly bias here and is an obvious ploy to garner future votes from a particular (large) group. To me, this type of “accommdation” is an insult to all immigrants as it assumes they cannot speak english.
