Ohio University to Pay Burned Student $500K

    This kid and his parents knew damn well he was an epileptic. If the school didn’t let him pretend to be normal they would have sued for that. Now, because he assumed the risk and was injured, they want the school to pay? Nobody put a gun to his head and forced him to go on the trip. The parents must have known about it and didn’t object. He could have had a seizure anywhere. Who is responsible to protect a college aid adult? There is no liability on the school and I’m disappointed they paid anything. Accidents happen. Too bad our legal system doesn’t have the balls to recognize that fact.

    They have the canjones to recognize it, but not to stand up and duke it out with them. They just caved like usually happens.
