What are they going to do about his smoking habit? No doubt that was related to “job stress” or something to. No such thing as personal responsibility anymore….

This guy was a fat slob BEFORE getting injured and I doubt he packed on 340 pounds working there. He never exercised before so why be concerned he can’t now? Courts in this country are out of control. This is not Workers Comp. This is B.S.

I agree Eli…how can this be Work Comp? To me, it seems to be a pre-existing condition…he was EXTREMELY overweight before the injury. If he had gotten injured in his own home, would home owners cover the surgery?

i think you all are missing the point.

first of all, the accident did happen. it is a workman’s comp claim since the freezer hit him. whether he was skinny or fat, the door hit him. it’s definately causing serious pain. according to the doctor, surgery is needed to repair the damage. due to his size, they were concerned with his weight, but WAIT!!! if that is the case, is not the lap band surgery the same issue? afterall, it’s surgery.

While we’re at it, lets fix his car and buy him a tank of gas since he has to get to work. Let’s get him some clothes and shoes since he can’t work nekid. Where did personal liability and common sense go?

The freezer door “hit him” How exactly did a freezer door “hit him” I’ve worked many restaurant jobs in my earlier days, in particular several pizza joints. I’m baffled by a freezer door “hitting him” and causing this back injury.
The guy was clearly a trainwreck before this “injury” took place at work. Just another lazy sob milking the system.
