like these scumbags are next on the list. There are too many of these companies in the Chicago area that have pulled this crap for way too long. I am glad the state did something about it but I am surprised they took so long. I can’t get away with offering 50% on a rearend accident but these clowns and the other “dirty dozen” of Chicago have been doing it for years.
the former president of this company had a motto about claims… delay delay delay don’t pay. He’s no longer with Kingsway, I wonder why? The Kingsway companies have fallen so far since Bill Starr left they may not ever recover.
If the fine is any indicator it would seem the violations of procedures were pretty serious. Unless the State plans on additional fines as a source of revenue for the State why not just liquidate the company. Can anyone explain?
I worked for this company for several years. The management led by Dan, Cary, Mark, and Laryy had a mottos of try to find fault, delay, and deny even if the claimant was 100% right. The work envoirment was hell. I do hope these clowns go down permanently. They made UCC a living hell to work at.
