Fining the company is not the answer. Companies do not cause accidents. The managers, team leaders, and supervisors establish the conditions in which accidents happen.

Managers, team leaders, and supervisors violating federal workplace safety regulations should be treated under the same legal system as we are when we get behind the wheel of a car. When I or you get behind the wheel of a car, we are held responsible. The more serious the violation the heavier the penalty you and I pay.

Fining the company allows all parties involved to hid behind the “big bad” company. Hold Managers, team leaders, and supervisors responsible. The company (Milk Specialties Global of Whitehall) did not allow untrained workers to perform work without protection.
