    I was really proud to see that such a tragedy could have positive results. Until you read the paragraph about Riddell. Common sense tells us that in extreme heat, special precautions must be taken to prevent heat-related injuries. It’s frustrating to see how much people lack self-responsibility. He was an adult. I can see how the NFL or the coaches could have some responsibility in the death (which I do not know the specifics so they may or may not have) but I don’t see how the product can be blamed. Even without pads, extra precautions are required in heat. Frivolous lawsuits are one of the detriments of our society.

    Riddell could use the warning sheets to pad their helmets & other gear so the players could read them between plays. Seems to me that playing football WITH helmets & pads is better than playing without….or is it just me?
