Great – two completely conflicting suggestions – first, suspend property tax obligations. Okay, sounds good, but since property taxes pay for most of city, county and school expenses in this state, where does the needed revenue come from?

Well, let’s have the state pay it, but another suggestion is to suspend the sales tax (collected by the state) because of the spike in purchases required for clean-up and repairs.

Great, just when we ask the state for more money, we cut off a revenue source.

At this point I don’t have a better solution, but please, let’s start thinking these through and come up with coherent suggestions.

Why don’t we take the money out of what Culver got from the casino’s for banning smoking?
