who suffer as a result of the failed Bush/Cheney policies and their negative impact on our environment. If the supreme Court hadn’t stolen the election from Al Gore in 2000, none of this would have happened.

I cannot believe that you are so uneducated to blame any administration for a natural disaster. Neither Bush/Cheney nor any other person in this world can make it rain like it did in the Midwest. Are you that stupid?

that the impact of flooding on livestock is that cows don’t float. They bob for a while if you add ice cream, but unless you issue automatic-inflating life vests to each one, they’re goners.

In other parts of the country, cattlemen are raising buffaloes for the low-fat, high-quality meat market.

In flood plain areas of the Midwest, some farmers are switching over to water buffaloes in they hopes that they have a better survivability to rising waters. Unfortunately, water buffaloes also lack bouyancy and it appears that con men and swindlers have made easy money on selling floating herds to unsuspecting ranchers.

Some poultry farmers have switched from chicken and turkey flocks to ducks and geese. While these new birds are surviving storms better, counting them has proven difficult as the ones who haven’t flown away are bobbing upside down with their tail feathers exposed.

For the pork industry, apparently a cold day in January will never happen again, in part because it has been proven that pigs do not float. The Farmers Almanac has incorporated this new data into their calendar for next January, when global warming will conclusively prove no snow will fall. (Note to Rosie – do we blame Bush or Cheney for this?)

The dairy industry is also expected to show a decline. While milk doesn’t taste good when watered down, at least the cream is expected to rise. More manufacturers are expected to shift over to Swiss-style cheese, as all those bubbles in the middle will help the wheels float until recovered.

As for flavored milk, stay away from the chocolate, as experts say it may contain a higher amount of silt than normal.
