I guess that the hunters in these states will have to use the UNIQUE hunting method from now on

“Unique up on the deer and hit it with a hammer.” No lead particles in the unique method

    um….how about several different methods:

    1) road kill

    2) bow and arrow, but then again, the feathers may cause harm. um…did the lead cause harm? afterall, how do you think they shot the deer in the old days!

    3) build a deer trap that leads to a slaughter house. ooops, are we driving them like cows? maybe the alternative, have a deer field but with extra high fences to keep in the population.

How much lead could possibly be in a deer carcass? Here are some kind souls donating venison to shelters and now some state agency is worried about lead poisoning? Given the option of eating venison with a trace of lead versus starving, give me the lead.

They should think about lead bird shot in the meat of birds. I’ve spit out plenty of shot.

The doctor that supposedly made the initial findings was a Dr. William Cornatzer a Bismark ND professor of dermatology. He is on the board of directors for the Peregrine Fund a conservation group that was an active proponent for the California lead ban legislation, recently signed by Gov. Schwarzenegger. I don’t believe that the study could be called “objective”
