25 years on the taxpayers dollar is too good for this piece of human garbage. He’s a 36 year old loser who had no regard for property or human life. He’s ruined the lives of two innocent people. He’s un-collectible, has no assets, and can’t compensate his victims. Now our courts will make us pay for his lodging, food, medical services, recreation, and education if he wants it. What’s wrong with this picture? Since his life was obviously a piece of crap before this happened, going to jail doesn’t seem like a punishment at all. It almost seems like a reward.

We need to make prison less attractive for criminals. While I don’t advocate abuse, I don’t advocate making it comfortable. Criminals should perceive it as an un-pleasant place. They should be forced to work a full-day to pay for their keep. Physical activity should be limited. When they got convicted they foreited their right to play games and avail themselves of other entertainment decent people earned. We make it too easy so their’s no fear of imprisonment.
