Indiana Whirlpool Plant Suspends 39 Workers for Lying About Smoking

    Good for Whirlpool. They should apply the smokers $500 assessment retroactively. These people blatantly lied about a material health issue to avoid paying their fair share of medical costs. That’s an insult to every non-smoker who legitimately qualifies for a lower premium. This is just another example of the eroding morale fibre of some people. In addition to making them fork out the correct amount of premiums, they should also note their employment record/appraisal that they lied and attempted to deceive their employer for personal gain.
