Yea, it was funny but did any of us call our agents to add the earth movement (quake) endorsement?

I wonder if that would extend to a landslide from heavy rains that we sometimes do get?

We will need to focus on earthquakes now that we know “a flood is a flood” thank you Lafayette insurance Co.

Your agent is right – it’s not covered unless you purchased earthquake insurance.

Heck, there’s not even a wind vs. water argument you’ve got on your side. The language in the policy is pretty darn clear.

The only excuse you would have for not knowing quake damage isn’t covered is -gasp- you didn’t read your policy.

    Now, who’s fault is that?

My agent has read th policy to me in the past and his secretary verbally told me it was covered on my answering machine. I have extensive damage that I am suing my agent for.

    Ralph:

You need to take the time to read your own policy. By the way, did your agent and secretary happen to tell you what your deductible is (or do you even know what a deductible is)? If you truly have coverage, you will be surprised. You are one of the reasons insurance premiums are high….let’s sue, sue, sue….

Its $500. Let my dorky agent pay that too. I know it should be covered becasue I pay a lot of money for insurance.

Most people do not buy the extra insurance, i.e.: flood, earthquake, etc., because it does not occur often.

Do earthquakes occur often in Illnois, Ohio or Kentucky?
