The scary to have to rely on the carrier’s diligence in their responsibility to notify as to change in availability of coverage for each state in which they do business. But, they must. We already do enough of what used to be their work (time & expenses) related to placement of risks.

What type of insurance did the guy have? It sounds to me like Acuity is paying out of their auto policy for a bicycle accident, probably from UM/UIM.
