    What type of insurance did the guy have? It sounds to me like Acuity is paying out of their auto policy for a bicycle accident, probably from UM/UIM.

    Does anyone know “the rest of the story?”

    yes, Mr. O, I read the article and said “what?”
    they left about as much out of the article as they put it, leaving us with more questions than answers

    It’s the change in availability that’s crux of the issue. The scary to have to rely on the carrier’s diligence in their responsibility to notify as to change in availability of coverage for each state in which they do business. But, they must. We already do enough of what used to be their work (time & expenses) related to placement of risks.
