The jury is TOLD the Docs were exculpated and find a way to believe the hospital is wrong ????. The bird brain who brought this action is also dead but the melody lingers on for the Pltf attorney ??? Health care providers are mandated reporters so, if they have a reasonable basis for suspecting child abuse, they MUST report same to the authorities BUT, if they guess wrong they are bound to be sued by the (usually) single mom for defamation. Also, the Cild Protective Services dept is always the most underfunded, poorly staffed and has the lowest morale of any Govt agency

It’s always somebody elses fault isn’t it? Riley Lee Chilton, estranged father but not husband of the mother, comes out of the woodwork to make some money over this tragedy. To compound things, an Indiana jury decides the hospital had the responsibility to protect the child from his un-wed, irresponsible, abusive mother who was shacking up with ANOTHER boyfriend. People need to wake up and start demanding that parents who abuse their children are at fault, not the social agencies that try to help. If there was insufficient evidence/reason to suspect the prior injury resulted from abuse and the hospital reported it, they’d be sued for falsely accusing the mother. They’re in a no-win situation. If certain elements of people are incapable of acting responsibly they shouldn’t reproduce.
