Snowmobilers assume a risk of operating their high speed machines. Doing so at night is a death wish. Not only can you not see hazardous objects (like cables, rocks, ledges), you have no protection from being thrown from the snowmobile. Not to mention the difficulty summoning help out in the middle of nowhere at night. It’s just a fact of life in booneyland that they’re going to lose a couple dozens folks each year.
