well, how long is his parole? why can’t he move to another state and then continue that parole with a different officer from the new state? afterall, the state should be glad 1 less for them to worry about, so long as the new parole officer is sending current information to the old one.
I know kidnapping is a serious offense, but unless his hostages were injured, this seems pretty excessive, ESPECIALLY, if you compare it with the sentences given to murderers.
My knowledge on the sentencing on murders is from New Orleans, so I may not be in tune with what is going on in the rest of the country.

I do not blame the other agents for not trusting Midland Insurance. The late Alan Spencer was a vice president with Midland National Life Insurance Co. and Eric Castaneira was an insurance agent from Harrisburg, Pa. who won from Mr Spencer agent of the year for five years running. upset with the termination of his contract. There is a lot more to the story. My brother started his insurance carrier with Midland by opening a agency in Baltimore, MD. He was very successful and won Agent of the Year for five years in a row. The problem started when Eric wanted to return home and open a agency in Harrisburg, PA. Agents may only sell in the state they are licensed to sell. Eric started to get info on agents crossing the PA/MD border and also creating some very strange contracts (Such as “just put down your a non smoker” when the customer was a smoker.
Eric finally went to The late Mr. Spencer and within twenty four hours Eric was terminated. Hand in hand with the employment termination Eric ran out of money and his wife and child were in a very serious car accident. I in no way condone Eric’s actions but the late Mr. Spencer was dirty and wanted to cover his ***. You add all that to election time in a one horse town involving the largest business concern you can see what I saw. The prosecution bent over backwards to convict Eric and make him go away, but Eric is made of strong stuff and he did his time his way. My relation with my half brother has been damaged over the situation, but if i was on my death bed my feelings would still be the same. The late Alan Spencer was in life a thief and a piece of crap. In death he is just a dead thief and piece of crap. BTW Midland insurance was in bed all along and just as guilty as Mr Spenser was so in a small phrase to Midland Insurance kiss my ***.

Why make it easy on him? They should offer him the choice of going back to prison. What a waste of taxpayers $$.

This agent filed a lawsuit against Midland. You should read it.

I have talked to a bunch of agents that say they are never going to trust Midland National Life again. I can’t blame them.
