Dear Indy,
I did not vote for President Bush. I will vote Democratic again in 2008 as long as the canidate is viable and will stand for American values. My problem is your hateful comments about your President. Yes your President. Unless you are in the country illegally or a traitor George W. Bush is your President and mine too. When Democrats make hateful and stupid remarks about our President we hurt our party for all future elections. In reality our President is winning the war on terror and we all know it. Even the crazy media is finally starting to report on our troops victories instead of the plight of our enemies. A Republican friend of mine told me something that actually made a lot of sense. She said, the difference in the two parties is that when the Democrats had Bill Clinton in the Whitehouse for 8 years the Republicans knew who their President was. Since January 2001 the Democrats can’t decide where to go poop because their anus is either in MA or TN. Think about how un American our party sounds to normal people. Thanks
BTW: Thanks to President Bush for standing firm despite critisism on the war. This Democrat supports you fully and will vote Democratic again hopefully thanks to your efforts to keep us free. Again Thanks.
Well said, PD… and not just because I’m a Republican. Some of the best political discussions I’ve had have been with what I call “thinking” Democrats.
We may not all agree on the best course of action to take but (arguably*) most of us want what’s best for our country.
I was no fan of Bill Clinton or most of his policies but he was still my president and on the rare occasion that I agreed with him I was happy to say it.
As for President Bush being responsible for this soldier’s death, let’s not forget that many soldiers died as a result of actions of then-President Clinton. Was he responsible for those deaths? President Bush didn’t kill this soldier. Some insurgent (terrorist, freedom fighter, muhajadeen, whatever the media is calling them this week) was, aim your venom where it belongs Indy.
(* = I say arguably because while I think the population wants what’s best for the country nearly every politician is more interested in getting re-elected and leaving a memorable legacy to write about in their memoirs.)
Chuckle of the day — PD is doing PR for Bush. Could be PR also stands for proud republican. I bet you have an Ann Coulter book or two on your reading stand.

Great “out of the box” suggestion. But the “toys” she bought should still be liquidated.
I agree on liquidating the toys. That big life policy needs to be paid for somehow.
