Looks like ya’ll gotta lotta drunks drivin around up there… sounds like ya’ll need to have the cops out on a regular basis & try & get some of these drunks off the road.
Why is it labled a “crackdown”? Aren’t they just doing their job? Shouldn’t they be “cracking down” on drunk drivers all the time and not just during a short few weeks? Are we supposed to congratulate the agencies for just doing their jobs? There should be no accolades for a “crackdown”. It should be the norm!
That’s a good point & one that deserves to be heard – unfortunately the cops are takinga day off to celebrate working for a few weeks instead of what they must normally do!
Cops busting drunk drivers is great. Unfortunately the trend out where I live is to focus on radar-photo cameras looking for speeders rather than catching dangerous drivers. Revenues go way up and bad drivers get away. I would love to see this bonus revenue used to hire more officers to patrol our highways.
And no, I have not been caught by the Big Brother cameras since I have taken appropriate countermeasures.
