Before considering anything like cable barriers, I hope KDOT looks at the State of Washington DOT experience with Cable barriers. There have been multiple breaches of the cable barriers, with fatalities each time. They tried double lines of cables and it still didn’t stop a car. Imagine what happens when a 100,000 pound Semi goes through. This is a physics lesson of massXspeed=chaos. The DOT is playing cost benefit analysis with drivers lives.

This has to be a joke. Why would anyone spend money on highway barriers in Kansas. It’s a big cornfield and it’s probably safer to just run off the road and into one. In the rare instance where another vehicle is approaching, you can probably spot it 5 miles away.
