SCHIP is great. It allows for “children” up to 25 years old making up to $85k/year to get free insurance for a family of four. Plus, all the lettuce pickers and Muslim terrorists here illegally can get free medical treatment too. All for a mere $50 billion. But Bush is a no good so-and-so because he’s against it. Those heartless Republicans!

    Willy,

Do I sense some hidden anger/resentment in your words?

Where is your compassionate republican heart?

You want to expell the illegals fine, but don’t complain when everything goes up 100%. The truth is that the illegal Mexican workers are more productive at manual jobs than us “fat” lazy Americans. Do you want to be picking up lettuce in 100F degree weather? I don’t for sure. Thanks to the illegal immigrants I can afford to buy produce. I support an immigration guest worker program. It is the only way to this mess and the right thing to do. Stop whining!

Willy, is this accurate? I’ve never heard of the program but if what you say is true then I’m against it too. It’s rare I agree with Bush on anything, but I’m not for a program that runs as you describe.

It has been estimated that if legal workers picked all produce it would cost the average family about $50 a year. It’s not that Americans won’t do the work, it’s that some Americans won’t pay enough money to get citizens to do it: they would rather exploit foreigners. If that makes you a good democrat, so be it.

A society that won’t enforce its laws and protect its borders does not deserve to exist.

I’m sorry if this sounds resentful to you. I am in favor of enforcing the rule of law, especially when terrorists are trying to get in here to wreak havoc on your family and mine. Cheaper lettuce is not worth the cheapening of human life. I am compassionate therefore, in that, unlike you I believe in protecting innocent life, even if it means that illegals are inconvenienced.

Honest, it’s true. Believe it nor not, it would also impose a $10 tax on “large cigars,” meaning anything other than Whit Owls and El Productos etc. But after all, it’s for “the children,” so those who oppose it must hate children I guess.
