Do you seeeeeee anything wrong here. If the claims report originated with the agent this would have a smaller chance of having happened especially if the insured had a glass deductible.
Fraud is unfortunately going on too much in the repair industry. I personally know of a company near Rockford who visits lots and charges for repairs to little surface chips then charges dealership for a bulls-eye or star. This company has been doing this sort of thing for nearly 30 years! I think it is about time these frauds are exposed. The industry needs people doing high quality repairs to damage that needs repair. People commiting fraud cost everyone money.
this is a common occurance all overhe country. i know of shops who are located in a big city and have there billing/mailing/location address in small rural towns so that they can bill @ higher prices. i also have personally been told by clients that shops at car washes offer them free chip repairs and end up billing their insuance companies for w/s replacements. fraud in the glass industry is everywhere and it gives honest companies bad names.
