Kudos to Governor-Elect Strickland for selecting an imminently qualified and highly skilled insurance lawyer, and former Department employee, to serve as Ohio\’s Insurance Commissioner. It is refreshing to see political appointments being made based on qualifications rather than patronage. Too bad the media chose to sensationalize this agency appointment by making an issue of Ms. Hudson\’s private lifestyle choices. Ms. Hudson is a seasoned and respected professional. I am certain she will lead the ODI accordingly.
